Having regard to the provisions in the Contract for Waste and Streetscene Services entered into by the City Council on 31st January 2007 to approve the novation of the contract to Urbaser Limited and to authorise the signing of all documents, agreements, leases and licences associated with the delivery of the contract necessary to complete the novation.
The Council entered into a contract for the delivery of Waste and Streetscene Services on 31st January 2007. Provision is made for the contract to be novated, and this has been done previously, following a takeover of the original contractor. The present contractor, Enterprise (AOL) Limited, is a company owned by the Amey group.
The Council was made aware that Urbaser Limited had purchased from Amey elements of Amey’s waste business, including the contract to deliver waste and streetscene services to Gloucester City Council. The Council undertook appropriate and necessary due diligence and is satisfied that there is no reason to object to, or prevent, the novation of the Contract from Enterprise (AOL) Limited to Urbaser Limited
The Contract expires on 31 March 2022.
