Purpose:

To waive a breach of the terms of the Operational Lease dated 26 March 1997 and to allow Gloucestershire Airport Ltd, the tenant, to grant a licence to Gloucestershire Aviation Collection of land for an overspill car park at a peppercorn rent for a term to 30/01/2020. Details of the waiver and licence are contained on the attached letter dated 12 February 2019.

Decision:

To waive a breach of the terms of the Operational Lease dated 26 March 1997 and to allow Gloucestershire Airport Ltd, the tenant, to grant a licence to Gloucestershire Aviation Collection of land for an overspill car park at a peppercorn rent for a rent to 30/01/2020.  Details of the waiver and licence are contained on the attached letter dated 12 February 2019.

Reasons for the decision:

To allow our Tenant Gloucester Airports Ltd to act commercially and grant a licence of land that will benefit the Jet Age Museum and allow the development of this aviation use adjacent to the airport.

Alternative options considered:

To refuse to consent but this would prevent the development of the museum and the use of the site.
