To consider the report of the Cabinet Member for Performance and Resources seeking approval of the Council’s Pay Policy Statement for 2017/18.

81.1    The Cabinet Member for Performance and Resources presented his report which invited Council to consider and approve the Council’s Pay Policy Statement for 2017/18.

81.2    Councillor Haigh noted the reference to the nationally calculated living wage and asked that be replaced with reference to the living wage as calculated by the Living Wage Commission.

81.3    After a short adjournment, Councillor David Norman and Councillor James indicated that they would accept the amendment.

81.4    RESOLVED that the Pay Policy Statement for 2017/18 be approved subject to amendment of the reference to nationally calculated living wage to the living wage as calculated by the Living Wage Commission.
