To consider the report of the Head of Paid Service recommending the designation of a Chief Finance Officer.

11.1    The Leader of the Council, Councillor Hilton, invited the Managing Director to introduce the report. The Managing Director introduced the report which sought to designate a Chief Finance Officer (S151 Officer). He informed Members that after a competitive recruitment process involving the Cabinet Member for Resources, Alison Turner had been appointed as the Head of Finance and Resources with an anticipated start date of 8^th April 2025. He confirmed that the Committee were being asked to recommend to Council that Alison Turner be appointed as the Council’s statutory S151 Officer.

          RESOLVED to RECOMMEND to Council that Alison Turner be designated as the Council’s Chief Finance Officer from 8^th April 2025 until further notice.
