To consider the report of the Cabinet Member for Performance and Resources concerning the Council’s use of its powers under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) and the review and of the Council’s procedural guidance on RIPA.

44.1                Council considered the report of the Cabinet Member for Performance and Resources which reported on the Council’s use of its powers under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and proposed an update to the Council’s procedural guidance on the Act.

44.2                RESOLVED

(1)  That the six-monthly update on the use of powers under the Regulation of Investigator Powers Act 2000 be noted;

(2)  The changes to the procedural guidance at appendix 1 to the report be approved.
