Minutes:

39.1       Ms Diane Gittings presented a petition signed by 298 people calling for the Council to prevent micro-chipped stray dogs from being automatically taken to Worcester for collection by owners, as provided for as part of the Council’s new stray dog service.

39.2       Councillor Porter (Cabinet Member for Environment) thanked Ms Gittings for her petition and advised that he appreciated the concerns of dog owners. He explained that the new service would be kept under review over the next 12 months to ensure that it was meeting the Council’s expectations and that individuals were not disadvantaged by the changes.
