64.3    The Mayor thanked Members who attended the Civic Reception I hosted to thank the Windrush Generation for the enormous contribution they have made to the City of Gloucester. She reported that she had received a message from one of the organisers:

“We enjoyed the event and wish to express our appreciation for the time and trouble taken by you all to publicly thank the “Windrush Generation for our contribution to the development of the City of Gloucester.”  During her time in Gloucester, since 1968, “this is the first public occasion in which I can recall being personally thanked for our services and contribution to the life and development of the Community in which myself and others like me have lived and worked over so many years.”

64.4    The Mayor encouraged Members to purchase tickets for the Civic Charity Ball which would take place on 18th May 2019.
