2.    Management of Gloucester City Council’s Temporary Accommodation at Caridas House and Priory Place for the period from 01 November 2021 to 02 October 2022 to Cheltenham YMCA.

It has not been possible to reach mutually acceptable terms with the current provider to allow for the current contract to be extended until 31 June 2022, and consequently a new provider is required to take over service delivery.

Extending the current contract with Gloucester City Homes until 31 October 2021 will enable continuity of service pending mobilisation of the new service provider, and the award of contract until 02 October 2022 with CYMCA will enable a full procurement exercise to be completed for the future contract from 03 October 2022.

The option to bring the service in-house was dismissed due to the absence of suitably skilled staff and the limited time to mobilise a new in-house service.

The Council were unable to reach mutually acceptable terms with the current provider that included extending their contract until 31 June 2022.
