To receive the report of the Head of Public Protection, which presents the outcome of the consultation on the Draft Revised Licensing Policy Statement and seeks approval to adopt the final draft version of the Statement.

To consider the report of the Head of Public Protection which presents the outcome of the consultation on the Draft Revised Licensing Policy Statement and to recommend a final draft version of the Statement for adoption by Council at the meeting to be held on 28 January 2016.

The Senior Licensing and Markets Officer presented the report which detailed the results of the consultation undertaken in respect of the 2016 – 2012 draft Licensing Policy Statement.

The document had been subject to a ten week consultation period which ended on 24 November 2015. A list of consultees was appended to the report.

He drew Members’ attention to the three responses which had been received and which were reported in Section 3 of the report.

Members requested the following amendment to paragraph 4.26 of the document:-

“At a meeting of the Licensing and Enforcement Committee on 18 June 2013 Members resolved that there would be no introduction of a Late Night Levy at this that time.”

RESOLVED

1)         that, subject to the minor amendment of paragraph 4.26,  the Licensing Policy Statement 2016 -2021 be approved;

2)         to RECOMMEND TO COUNCIL that the Licensing Policy Statement 2016 – 2021 be approved and adopted.
